Mary Helen Kurle

Mary Helen Kurle, 70, Mercer, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Mission Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Russell Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilton. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the church. Mary was born March 16, 1949 at Bismarck, to Martin and Angeline (Arth) Baumann. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1967. She married Eugene Kurle at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bismarck, January 4, 1971. Mary worked hard her whole life on the family farm, raising and teaching her children. She was active with the church, teaching Sunday School, on the church board and missions committee. She enjoyed reading her Bible, playing solitare, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Eugene; three daughters, Gena, Aimee and Sara Kurle; three sisters, Rita Baumann, Jean Galster and Teresa Baumann; three brothers, Ed (Brenda), Paul (Jane) and Joe (Shelly) Baumann; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends from church. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and aunt Christine Fuka.
