Andra McCartney

Andra McCartney passed away at the age of 64 on October 17, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at PRHC. She is predeceased by her parents Jeff McCartney and Jean McCartney and sister Judith McCartney. Andra was an accomplished PhD and professor of communications studies at Concordia University. Andra was an internationally recognized composer, prolific author and research supervisor. Most of all she was a loving mother to Sian Hughes, Daniel Hughes (Sarah) and loving grandmother to Grace Hughes and Ayla Hughes. She will be lovingly and fondly remembered by family and respected by colleagues and students forevermore. Arrangements entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Norwood United Church, 4264 Highway 7, Norwood.
