Virgil Wayne Rhodes Obituary

Wayne Rhodes, 67 years old of Bronte, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 15, 2019. Wayne passed away at his home in Bronte. Wayne was born in Brownwood Texas on February 11, 1952 to Quentin Albert Rhodes and Betty (Rhodes) Caddel. Wayne was an avid fisherman and was very active in the Bronte Cowboy Church. He worked in construction for a number of years before becoming disabled in a construction accident in 1990. Wayne was married to Janet Elizabeth Clark in 1975 in Odessa Texas. She preceded him in death in July 2017. He is survived by his children; Jenita Baken, Dawn Rhodes and Joey Rhodes of Robert Lee, Cindy Rhodes of San Angelo, Walter Montgomery of Ballinger and Chad Teachout of Robert Lee. He is also survived by his sister and husband, Anita & Ronnie Walton of Hawley, Texas and his nephew and wife, Shane and Angie Cupps of Plano, Texas. Thirteen Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife Janet Rhodes and his Mother Betty Caddel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 17, 2019 at 2:00 at the Bronte Cowboy Church with Pastor Robert Lemmond officiating. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/ Bronte. Pallbearers : Jacob Baken, Josh Baken, Shane Cupps, Robert Tijerina, Dennis Duncan and Cody McClure.
