William Popkave

William “Billy” Popkave, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Billy was born on December 19, 1955 in Newburgh, NY to Irv and Dixie Faye (West) Popkave. He is survived by the love of his life , Susan Eber, son, Christopher (Christina) Popkave, cherished grandchildren, Emma and Chase Popkave, son, Daniel Popkave, brothers, Darryl “Scotty” (Dawn) Popkave, adoring/loving niece Taylor Popkave, Randy (Kim) Popkave, nephews, Travis (Natalie) Popkave and Jimmy. His extended family, Brian & Cori Leitner, granddaughter, Aubree, Kevin Leitner, Steven & Cori Leitner and several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog, Brooks. He was predeceased by his parents. Billy was everybody’s “Best Friend” & had a Heart of Gold!! Billy was a master mechanic by trade and enjoyed a long career in the automotive and transportation industry. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed riding his Harley. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and family. Billy was willing to help anybody at anytime, putting others before himself and was a very caring and generous person. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly. Billy was a member of the Community Bible Church. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, October 14 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm at the Joseph W Sorce Funeral Home Inc. 728 West Nyack Rd.
