Age 85 of St. Charles passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Chesaning Nursing Care Center. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel. The family will receive friends that day from 12:00pm until the service. Bernard was born on December 25, 1933 to Ernest and Anna (VanHorn) Mose in St. Charles. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Donna Yurgens on May 17, 1958; they celebrated 61 years of marriage this year. Bernard retired from Nodular Iron after 31 years of service. During his life, Bernard loved baseball, especially playing in the Senior Circuit Softball league. He enjoyed bowling and farming, and most of all, spending time with his family. Bernard is survived by his wife, Donna Mose; his children, Sharon Ledford, William (Kathy) Mose, and Carol Mose; his grandchildren, Shelby (Jeff) Ledford, Tina (Skip) Powell, and April (Matt) Mallory; his 5 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Alberta Terry, Thelma (Harold) Schneider, Marlene (Warren) Black, and Julie (Jim) Helmrich. He is predeceased by parents; his son-in-law, James Ledford; and his sister, Eleanor Hollerbach. Memorial contributions are suggested to Memorial Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice..
