Doris Spurgeon Wiilliams

Mrs. Doris J. “Pete” Williams Spurgeon, 69, of 237 Pleasant Ridge Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at McCall Hospice House. She was a daughter of the late John Jones and Barbara Cox. She was raised by the late Pearlie Byrd. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Taylors, South Carolina, and was employed at Greenville County Disabilities. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Adrian Spurgeon. Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her husband of fifty years, Roy M. Spurgeon of the home; two sons, Roger Andre (Tavon) Spurgeon of Greenville, and Alex Cornelius Spurgeon of the home; sisters and brothers; six grandchildren; three great-grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
