Gorden Lee McGlone Sr.
Mr. Gorden Lee McGlone Sr., age 83, of Garrison, Kentucky, passed away Thursday evening, October 10, 2019, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Center in Vanceburg, Kentucky. He was born November 18, 1935, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late William and Agnes Lewis McGlone. Gorden was a member of Bivens Chapel Christian Holiness Church and worked for N & W Railroad for 28 years. He enjoyed going to church, farming, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Armstrong McGlone; three sons, Gordon McGlone Jr., Daniel McGlone, and Robin McGlone; two daughters, Cleo Elaine Pack and Elouise Cooper; and two sisters, Ada Stevenson and Alice Bivens. Gorden is survived by his wife of 19 years, Dorthy Rowland Hartman McGlone; one son, Robie McGlone (Julie) of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two step daughters, Dawn Dean and Amanda Hartman, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four brothers, Bob McGlone of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Bruce McGlone of Grayson, Kentucky, Delbert McGlone of Camp Dix, Kentucky, and Curtis McGlone of Tollesboro, Kentucky; and three sisters, Panzie Howard of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Annabell Applegate of Tollesboro, Kentucky, and Karen Susan McGlone of Vanceburg, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Brother Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riley Cemetery in Lewis County, Kentucky. Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.
