MARQUETTE, MI - Barbara Y. Levandoski, 84, of Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Trillium House surrounded by her loving family. Born June 25, 1935, to Myrtle and Morgan Quinn, Barbara was a graduate of Bishop Baraga High School in 1953. She worked at Michigan Bell Telephone Company in Marquette, until she married the love of her life, Joseph S. Levandoski, in 1956. Together, they built a loving life that would last for the next 61 years. Barbara worked in the MAPS Food Service Department for several years. She also became actively involved in the following organizations: TOPS of Marquette, MAPS Sports Booster Club, and the St. Peter Cathedral Choir. Meeting with her lifelong friends, lovingly referred to as “The Club”, they enjoyed many years of laughter and fellowship. Barbara’s passion was supporting her children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Barbara is survived by her five children: Joseph (Anne) Levandoski, Kay (Mike) Angeli, Karen (Walley) Helmila, all of Marquette, MI, Mark (Anne) Levandoski, Appleton, WI, and Brian (Flora) Levandoski, Oceanside, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Walley (Brianne) Helmila, Erica (Travis) Smith, Mike (Lauren) Angeli, Catherine (Jacob) Lehmann, Quinn (Kate-friend) Levandoski, Kevin (Brianne-fiance) Levandoski, Rachel Levandoski, Joseph (Danielle) Levandoski, David Levandoski, Jessica (Robert) Allen, Autumn Levandoski, and Alisyn Levandoski; her great grandchildren: Claire and Alyse Helmila, Makenna, Ainsley, and Senya Smith, Camryn and her soon-to-be-born baby brother, Lehmann, and Olivia Allen. Barbara is also survived by her sisters: Marion Boyle of Atwater, CA, Helen Kurcz, Katherine Quinn, Frances (Robert) Dupras, Carol (Jerry) Larson-King all of Marquette; brother-in-law, Walt Aument of Chicago, IL. sister-in-law: Shirley Quinn-Reinhardt of Sheboygan, WI. and several nieces and nephews. Proceeding Barbara in death was her loving husband, Joseph S. Levandoski; her siblings: Morgan Quinn of Sheboygan, WI, Marjorie (Thomas) Enwright, Dorothy (Peter) Lemire, and Barry Kurcz of Marquette, Patricia Aument of Chicago, IL, and Edward Boyle of CA. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at UPHS, the caregivers of Trillium House, and UP Home Health & Hospice for providing Barbara and her family with a caring and peaceful environment in her final days. The family will receive relatives and friends in the Bishop’s Room located at St. Peter Cathedral on Monday, October 14, 2019 beginning at 1:00 pm until 2:15 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 pm Monday, in St. Peter Cathedral. A reception will follow in Cathedral Hall.
