Don R. Nichols

Don R. Nichols, age 74 or Sevierville passed away Thursday October 10, 2019. Don was a pioneer in tourism in Sevier County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge as well as Larajet Baptist Church in Olitepsi, Kenya. Don, and his wife Paula, served as missionaries in southeast Kenya for three years to the Maasai Tribe. He is survived by his wife Paula Nichols; son Kelly Nichols and wife Charli; daughter Donna Rhodes Barnes; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brothers Loran Klinner, Robert Thomas and Tommy Hall. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Joshua Ministries, International at any branch of Tennessee State Bank. The family will receive friends 12 PM – 2 PM Saturday with memorial service to follow at 2 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Jeff Parish and Rev. Richard Everett will officiate.
