Margaret (Maggie) Lucille Cunning passed away peacefully at her hoe on October 9th, 2019. She was born on August 14th, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Highland Park CA in the early 1940's and was raised by her parents the late Arthur and Goldie Schick. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1955. Maggie, as her friends called her, enjoyed a long career as an Escrow and Loan Officer for several financial institutions. She later found her passion in Real Estate sales and new home sales. She met the love of her life William "Bill" Cunning in 1965 and moved their family to Capistrano Beach in 1969. They built their ream home there where Maggie enjoyed sewing, gardening and improving their home. Maggie enjoyed the holidays, cooking meals for the family and decorating her home. Traveling was also a passion of hers, trips to Vegas and Hawaii were not uncommon. Maggie also had a passion for animal rights, contributing to several charities during her life. Maggie is survived by her husband of 53 years Bill Cunning, her son Jim Oldham and daughter-in-law Chris and her two granddaughters Greta and Hayden Oldham, her son Steve Oldham and his wife Lisa, and stepdaughter Cynthis Sumrall and two step grandchildren Frank and Samantha Sumrall.
