Philip G. Hullin

Philip G. Hullin, 53, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly, April 6, 2011. He was born February 6, 1958 in Milwaukee, the son of Peter and Emily Pagac Hullin. On May 6, 1978 he married Joleen K. Timler at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. Phil was a 1976 graduate of Messmer High School, Milwaukee. In 1981 he founded Hullin Carpentry and Repair. Phil was an honest, hard worker who built strong relationships with his customers and took great pride in his craft. He was interested in aviation, NASCAR, and sports. He was a natural born athlete. Phil also loved the outdoors and spending time with his family at the beach. In 2001 Phil introduced disc golf to the community when he created the Adelaide Park Disc Golf Course, his labor of love. Family was his first priority; his love was unconditional and he prided himself in providing for them. Phil was selfless, dependable and had a legendary sense of humor. Survivors include his loving wife Joleen, one son, Joseph (Angela) Hullin of Sheboygan, one daughter Katherine Hullin of Fond du Lac, two grandsons, Dominic Hullin and Jory Hullin, to whom he was known as Buppa and Pappa, with another grandson expected this summer. He is further survived by six sisters, Carol Schmidt of Thiensville, Delores (Louis) Raffaele of Muskego, Christine (Edward) Doyle of LaPlace, LA, Loretta (David) Osowski of Colgate, Jean (John) Michalski of Wautoma, Joan (Paul) Deakin of Wautoma, his mother-in-law, Bernice Timler of Wautoma, a brother-in-law, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Timler of Fond du Lac, four sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Don) Baalke of Wautoma, Jacqueline Huberty of Oshkosh, Judith (Dave) Gensch of Horicon, and Jodi (Brian) Olmen of Green Lake, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, L.P. Timler. Visitation: Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 1:00 to 3:45 PM at the Zacherl Funeral Home. Services: A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the funeral home on Sunday 4:00 PM, Ruthann Ross will officiate. A memorial in his name will be established.
