HER LIFE - STELLA MAE Estella “Stella” Mae Birt was born on November 2, 1949, in Ocala, Florida, to the proud parents of Rufus and Annie Birt. Stella received her education in the Marion County school district. Stella met and married James Lewis Jr., and through their union Stella received her most precious gift; her daughter Donna Renee. The family travelled throughout the world as James pursued his Military career. STELLA MAE DIDN’T PLAY Stella was a decorated and esteemed Property Manager and cared for many properties throughout Northern California. Her southern belle personality drew people of all walks of life to her. Stella became a mother to everyone she met. Stella had many adopted children and families. She had a way of convincing you to do the right thing, without ever raising her voice. She was active in her community and served as a Citizen-on-Patrol with the Fresno Police Department for eight (8) years. She loved Winnie the Pooh, Bonanza and Gunsmoke. Stella was preceded in death by her Parents; three (3) sisters; one (1) brother; two (2) nieces and two (2) nephews. SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORIES Her loving daughter, Donna Renee Shackelford (CA); Grandsons: Donzell Nalls (CA) and Devin Shackelford (Germany); Granddaughter, Ivanna Shackelford (CA) and Granddaughter-in-law Taylor Shackelford (Germany).
