Sandra Kay Keck

Sandra Kay (Keplinger) Keck, of Fort Ashby, died Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born August 15, 1955 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Carl E. and Willard Mae (Mayle) Keplinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, August Joseph “Joe” Keck, Jr. on November 21, 2018; sister, Vicky Lynn Keplinger; brother, Roger Allen Keplinger, Sr. ; and, a nephew, Roger Allen Keplinger, Jr. Sandy was a graduate of Frankfort High School. She had worked at the Cumberland Blouse Factory and the Kinney Shoe Factory. Sandy belonged to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Among the survivors are sisters-in-law, Theresa Miciche and Linda Patras and special friend, Ed Lilly; brothers-in-law, Donald Keck and Charles Keck; nieces Tyra Keplinger and Vince Bennett and Nikole Lynn Keplinger; a great-niece, Braylyn Bennett; special friends, Eric and Sharon Moore; and, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Fort Ashby, on Wednesday from 11 AM until noon. The funeral service will follow at noon, with Pastor Scott Knowlton, officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Mayle, Delmer Mayle, Daniel Mayle, Wyatt Stuckey, Eric Moore, and Scott Bradfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 128 Wesley Street, Ridgeley, WV 26753.
