Jackie Carroll Russell

Jackie Carroll Russell, 87, of West Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 8:02 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born in McCracken County. Jackie served as secretary for Concord Elementary School for several years and retired from USEC as an operator. She was a member of Bethel Christian Church and the Paducah Ambassadors. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Glenda (Paul) Bittner of West Paducah, KY and Greta (David) Qualls of Kevil, KY; sister, Manda (Willie) Blackwell of West Paducah, KY; son-in-law, Keith Tilford of West Paducah, KY; eight grandchildren, Russ (Kristen) Tilford, Kajeana (Bo) Thomas, Molly (Matt) Whitson, Emily (John) Kelley, Katie Loor, Kurtis (Rose) Qualls, Zachary (Alison) Bittner and Jenny Bittner; thirteen great-grandchildren; niece, Deelynne (Shane) Rice; nephews, Matthew (Tara) Blackwell, Micha (Holly) Blackwell; several great nieces and nephews and her beloved pet, Charlie. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Harold R. Russell and her daughter, Gloria Tilford. Her parents were Jack Carroll and Irene Harris Carroll. The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Brightmore and especially Jamie Burns who became part of the family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Keith Tilford officiating. Burial will follow at the Harris Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Road, Paducah, KY 42001.
