Patrick Anthony Tippit

Patrick Anthony Tippit, age 56, passed away September 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was born in Oklahoma City on August 13, 1963, the 3rd child to Ronald and Charlotte Tippit. He graduated from Del City High School class of 1981, and went on to become “Pat the Handyman” and a jack of all trades when it came to fixing things. Patrick was known for his beautiful talent for writing, his incredible intelligence, wit and humor. He had a love for cooking, fishing, bowling, and of course fixing things. The greatest part of his life came in 2001 when he married his beloved wife, Julie and had their daughter, Patricia. From then on he was a dedicated family man and spent the rest of his life taking care of “his girls.” He was diagnosed with Merkel Cell Carcinoma in November 2016 and fought for three years to stay with them. His fight with cancer was long, but his unmatched strength carried him on for years and he will always be remembered for his tremendous love, strength, and his unwavering belief that “Hope Springs Eternal.” Patrick was preceded in death by his father Ronald Eugene Tippit, his brothers Terry Eugene Tippit and Andrew Justin Porter, and his Aunt Helen Louise Swanda. He is survived by the love of his life, best friend, and wife Julie, treasured daughters Patricia and Sara, Mothers Charlotte and Nevelyn Tippit, sisters Catherine and her husband Robert West, and Martha Mercer, brothers Shawn and Kenton Porter as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pat was so kind to me when I entered his family. His love for PJ was apparent to anyone who met him and his food dishes made the holiday dinners. Praying for Ab and PJ during this very difficult season. Love you both.
