Rosemary White Grants Pass, Oregon Obituary

Rosemary White

Rosemary “Rose” Elizabeth White, 91 passed away in the late evening of September 11, 2019, at The Bridge Retirement in Grants Pass, Oregon with her family by her side. She lived a very full life, having been blessed with 91 years. Rose was born on November 22, 1927, on a Falls City Oregon fruit farm, to William & Laura Sample. She spent her days growing up in Falls City and attended Laurelwood Adventist Academy. It was there that she completed all grades, and eventually graduated. At the age of 20, Rose married her loving husband, Raymond “Philip” White, on April 8, 1948, in Grants Pass, Oregon. They would be together for 50 wonderful years, raising three beautiful daughters. In addition to being a remarkable and loving mother and wife, Rose also spent 15 years as an executive cook at Oak Lane Nursing Home, as well as an impressive 34 years working for her grandparent’s business, White’s Custom Loaders, that they built in the 1950’s. She spent most of her time with them loading lumber onto trains. In addition to cherishing time spent with her loved ones, Rose enjoyed activities such as reading, sewing, flower gardening, golf, bowling, and stayed active in all activities at the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist church. Rose White was dearly loved and appreciated by those whose lives she was a part of. She was the one to meet you after school with a homemade meal, there day or night for anyone who needed her, and never missed one of her grandson’s games during a sports season. She will be forever remembered, loved, and missed. She is survived by her Daughter Linda Bewley and husband Monte, daughter Pamela Fields and husband Ron, grandsons Ronnie and wife Hannah, Hunter Fields and wife “Girl Hunter”, Jacob Birchfield; Sister Willeta Graves; brother-in-law Wendel White; great grandchildren Laveah, Ryker, Emory Rose, Oakley Kate, and Grayson James Fields, Brookelyn and Sydney Birchfield and many nieces and nephews. Rose is preceded in death by her adoring husband Phil White; daughter Candy Sue Stone; brothers, Billy, Kenny, Milton, Vernon and Gene.
