MUEHLENBECK, Lon R. “Chopper” - of Birch Run, age 69, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his residence. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 12PM until 8PM. A service will be held at 3PM Thursday afternoon. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation. Lon was born November 30, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Russell and Joyce (Hauck) Muehlenbeck. He graduated from Birch Run High School. Lon was a carpenter most of his life before retiring. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Birch Run. Lon enjoyed tinkering on everything, sailing, and playing the lottery. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. Surviving are: Daughters: Shelly Ahnen, Marcia (Dennis) Konuszewski, and Amy Muehlenbeck (Donte Hart Sr.); Son, Lon Muehlenbeck, Jr.; Grandchildren: Lonnie III, Donte, Kyiah, Brittaney (Michael) Keith, Kodey Ahnen, Lacey (Taylor) Ellis, Correy Storms, Aliyson and Quin Konuszewski; Great grandchildren: Bryan and Isabella; Siblings: Penny Braeutigan, Paul (Victoria) Muehlenbeck, Cynthia (Charles) Fox, and Heidi Muehlenbeck; Many other loving family members and dear friends.
