Mr. James Ray Locklear of Maxton was born on December 9, 1956 in Scotland County to D.P. “Joe” Locklear and the late Corde Lee Oxendine and passed away on September 10, 2019 at his home completing his journey of 62 years. The funeral will be Friday, September 13, 2019 at 3 P.M. at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery. Mr. Locklear leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Linda Locklear of the home; one daughter: Janice Hutto(Phillip) of Stanley; six siblings: Virgie D. Locklear of Rowland, Mary Ann Haggans, Ernie Lee Locklear, Linda L. Bryant, Hattie Mae Locklear, and Leander Locklear, all of Maxton; three grandchildren: Dylan, Garrett and Kaylee; two great-grandchildren: Cameron and Samuel as well as a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to his caretaker: Camilla Chavis. The visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2019 from 2-3 P.M. at Boles Funeral Home in Red Springs.
