Obituary
Effie Loretha Jenkins, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away November 30, 2015. She was born on December 23, 1923, in Hot Spring County, to the late William Leroy and Nancy (Crowder) ONeal. Effie was a member of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs for 19 years. She worked hard in her family business for many years. Effie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F. Jenkins, Sr.; sisters, Mary Jane Thomas, Anna Jean Hardage, LouAnn Estep, Jo Blackburn; brother, E. L. Bo ONeal; half-brother, Carl ONeal; and half-sister, Loella Faulkner. Survivors include son, John F. Jenkins, Jr. (Delores); brothers, Jerry, Sylvester, Hubert, and William C. Bill ONeal; sisters, Glenna Lunsford, Pauline Johnson; grandchildren, Ashley Washington (Brandon), Lindsay Jenkins; John F. Jenkins, III (Lauren); great-grandchild, John F. Jenkins, IV; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Alford Cemetery in Hot Spring County, off Possum Trot Road, with Pastor John McCallum and Bro. Mike Pounders officiating.
