Don E. Graham

Don E. Graham of Rochester Hills, Michigan died peacefully at home December 12, 2015. He was 83 years old. He was born August 11, 1932 in Devon, Kansas to parents, Gladys (nee Lutes) and Royal Graham. On February 20, 1953, Don joined the military. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, Don married the love of his life, Maxine Bowden on July 17, 1955. Don began working as a police officer for the Birmingham Police Department in 1955. He retired on July 2, 1987 after over 30 years on the force. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Maxine and his loving children, Diana Malzahn, Debra (Jim) Cartier, Dawn Schaller, and Donald Graham. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Community of Christ Church, 3830 Crooks Rd., Troy, Tuesday, 3pm until time of funeral at 5pm. Memorials appreciated to Community of Christ Church.
