Laurie Jean Phillips

Laurie Jean Phillips, 42, a longtime resident of Vidor who loved to spend all her time with her son, died November 1st, 2015 in Vidor. Laurie is survived by her son, Kaden Vidalier of Vidor, and mother, Brenda McDaniel also of Vidor. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Rene Skeirys and her father, Gediminas Skeirys. A memorial service for Laurie will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.

Laurie was always our waitress at the China diner, and she was always so happy and that joy spread to everyone she came in contact with. She was such a wonderful, energetic lady. Prayers go out to her family. She will be missed.

Laurie never failed to make me laugh. Her realism was enlightening. Although I haven't seen her in 20 years, I'll never forget her contagious smile. She was such a beautiful person.
