Mrs. Erma Jean Hightower July 9, 1948 – August 19, 2019 Mrs. Erma Jean Hightower, age 71, of Griffin, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Mrs. Hightower was born July 9, 1948 in Waycross, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Lorene Suggs; sister, Betty Thornton and brother, David Suggs. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Carl Hightower; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Carol Hightower, Randy and Shannon Hightower, and Ricky Alan, Sr. and Stacy Hightower; grandchildren, Kary Marie Hightower, David Hightower, Stephen Hightower, Ricky Alan, Jr. Jessica Hightower, and Brandon Carl Hightower; 6 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Nora Jean and Clinton Hightower; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy and Margaret Suggs, Johnny Suggs, and Stanley and Carol Suggs; and sister-in-law Dorothy Coleman. Funeral services for Mrs. Erma Jean Hightower will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Terry Butler will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
