Funeral services for Bennie Lucas Dixon, age 38 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Larry Daniels will officiate. Mr. Dixon was born November 11,1980 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Wanda Sue Woodard Dixon. He was employed as a concrete finisher for Bates and Association. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a member of 101 Whiteford Masonic Lodge. Mr. Dixon passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Serenity Place. Mr. Dixon is survived by his father and stepmother, Bennie and Frances Ross Dixon of Rentz, 2 daughters, Vivian Lee Dixon of Dublin and Rose Dixon of Dublin, 3 brothers, Neal (Jodi) Dixon of Minnesota, Wesley (Kristina) Dixon of Rentz, and Chad (Debbie) Dixon of Rentz, and a stepsister, Darlene (Joey) Caruthers of Eastman. Pallbearers will be Sonny Drum, Spud Fordham, Tom Harrison, Ronnie Dixon, Mark Baker, Robert Robinson, and Keith Brooks. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
