Christopher Wayne Ottinger, age 40 of Pikeville, died Sunday, August 18, 2019. In his past time Chris enjoyed riding motorcycles, rock repelling, and caving. Preceding him in death was his maternal grandparents, Rathmel and Ruby Lee Smith Reece; paternal grandparents, Paul and Ruth Steakley Ottinger. Christopher will be dearly missed by his, son, Carl Wayne Ottinger; daughter, Christina Noel Ottinger; mother, Ruby Evelyn (James) Defur; father, Donnie Ray (Lena) Ottinger; brother, David James (Sherry) Smith, Lee McWilliams; sisters, Paula Sha (Shannon) Bryant, Angie (Ronny) Leblanc; nieces, Raven and Hannah Smith, Madison Dotson; nephews, Jerry Ray Harvey, Charlie Harvey, Ashar and Nathan Leblanc; cousins, and a host of friends. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm CDT Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Greg Pickett officiating. Burial will be in DeBord Cemetery.
