Martha A. Stover

Martha A. Parsons Stover, 90, of Buffalo left this world on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 to join her husband Tom in Heaven, who left this world on June 4, 2002. You will live in our hearts forever and will always be sadly missed by loved ones and friends. Martha was a devoted, loving wife and mother, who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and attending auctions with her friend Betty Jean. She was a faithful member of Turkey Branch Community Church, Buffalo. She was born February 15, 1925, daughter of the late Aaron D. and Lorna Don (Rhodes) Parsons. In addition to her parents and husband, Tom, Martha was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Sue (Hill) Sarwar; and a brother, Paul E. Parsons. She is survived by her children; son, Gary Lee (Marie) Stover of Taylor, Michigan; daughter, Dola Mae Stover Hill and her companion Steve Tucker of Nitro, WV; son, Tommy Ray (Karen L.) Stover of Buffalo; daughter, Sandra Lynn Stover (Larry) Jones of Buffalo; and daughter, Marcie Stover (Jason) Jividen of Latrobe, Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. The family extends special thanks to John, Liza, Jada, and the entire staff of Teays Valley Genesis Nursing and Rehab Center for all their loving care. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, September 25, 2015 at Otter Branch Community Church, Buffalo with Pastor Arliss Blackshire and Pastor Pete Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Given Cemetery, Given. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Raynes Funeral Home Buffalo.
