Robert V. Zeluff of Riverhead died Aug. 15, 2019. He was 78. He was born in Jackson Heights, Queens on July 17, 1941 to Irvin and Martha (Heinemann) Zeluff. He was a retired sheriff dispatcher and for over 36 years and was a volunteer firefighter for the Hampton Bays Fire Department. For over 20 years, he worked at the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Rheel); his children, Wendy (David) Alberti and Rob (Maria) Zeluff; and grandchildren, Danielle, Amari and Eli. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Melanie. The family received visitors on Aug. 17 and 18 at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Riverhead Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to A Walk to Emmaus or Kent Animal Shelter.
