She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Franklin Shumock and Sara Elizabeth Martin Shumock. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ernest L. White; one son, Nathan Earl (Madeline) White; three sisters, Denise D'Oliveira, Janet Elizabeth Miller, and Carol Ann Rawls; one granddaughter, Judith Monroe White; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
