Eva “Janine” Street Long, 58 years of age of Pensacola, FL and formerly of Oakwood, VA passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Born July 16, 1961 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of Joyce Ann Blankenship Street and the late James Carlos Street. Janine was baptized at Garden Baptist Church and was of the United Methodist faith and a member of the Warrington United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL and a graduate of Garden High School Class of 1980. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, doing crafts, was an avid animal lover, she loved music and spending time with her nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Loving wife, daughter, step-mother, sister, aunt and friend. In addition to her father, James Carlos Street, she is preceded in death her maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Eva Blankenship; paternal grandparents, John H. and Myrtle Street; one niece, Courtney Marie-Ann Parker, and one nephew, Christopher Michael Street. Those left to cherish her memories in addition to her mother, Joyce Ann Blankenship Street of Cedar Bluff, VA include her loving husband, Neil Jeffery Long of Pensacola, FL; one step-daughter, Jessica Long of Kingsport, TN; one sister, Caryn Kimberly (Timothy) Parker of Perdido Key, FL; two brothers, John David Street of Greenville, VA and Christopher Alexander (Lisa) Street of Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including her special nieces, Caitlyn (Kyle) McGhie, Brooke Street; special nephew, Corey Street and girlfriend, Michaela Jones; and loving great niece and nephews, Amelia McGhie, Parker McGhie and James McGhie. Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Janine Street Long will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain with Evangelist Jeff Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Warrington United Methodist Church located at 301 East Winthrop Avenue Pensacola, FL 32507. Active pallbearers will be Chester Long, Michael Fletcher, Tim Parker, Gary Reece Keene, David Fletcher, and Jerry Blankenship. Honorary pallbearers will be her uncles. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 15, 2019 starting at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Warrington United Methodist Church in her memory.
