Beverly Gaye Turner, 72, of Weatherford, passed away on Friday afternoon, August 9, 2019, at her home. Memorial services will be held Friday, August 16, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service, Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. Beverly was born on January 18, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas to Porter and Audie Turner. She worked for over 30 years as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell/AT&T prior to her retirement. She enjoyed traveling – particularly to Tennessee to visit with her family. Most of all, Beverly cherished time spent with her granddaughter – Sophie. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Misty Turner; her beloved granddaughter, Sophie Gray Turner; her cousins, Linda (Basil) Boyd of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and their daughter, Melanie (Ben) Harris of Olive Branch, Mississippi; nieces, Patti Mitchell of Fort Worth and Sherri (Phil) Visser of Virginia; and by several great nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Louis Ray Turner.
