David Anthony Biering, age 61, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Haven Hospice “with his loving wife, Cherie, and stepdaughter, Danielle, by his side” He leaves behind his wife, Cherie Biering, daughter, Tracy Biering-Waterhouse, and stepdaughters, Rachel Williams and Danielle Schaffner. He will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren, Ellette, Errol, Aemilia, Jasmine, Kia, Hannah, Patrick, Aidan, and Olivia, as well as his great-grandchildren, Arianna, Shaniya, and Navaeh. David was born in Charleston, SC on January 21, 1958 to Henry and Judith Biering and was raised in Goose Creek, SC. He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brother, Keith Biering, and his stepson, Sean Riley. David worked as a truck driver for much of his life and was a lifelong firearm and car/motorcycle enthusiast. He loved seafood dinners, tinkering with his Jeep or motorcycles, and cracking jokes with his best friend, his granddaughter, Olivia. He had a sarcastic wit and infectious sense of humor. He spent the last years of his life being the best Paw Paw a grandchild could ask for and has the t-shirt to prove it! A celebration of his life and final farewell will be held next Spring at one of his favorite places, Wild Cat Falls, in Cleveland, SC. The family would like to thank the staff at Haven Hospice for providing care and comfort to David in his final days.
