Robert K. "Hoss" Cartwright

Robert K. "Hoss" Cartwright, 58, of New Castle, passed away the morning of August 9, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 4, 1961, in New Castle, He was a son of the late Charles E. Cartwright and Alma Miller McCann. Robert married the former Sherri Greenawalt on August 12, 1989. She survives. Mr. Cartwright worked for Nordson in the shipping and receiving department. He enjoyed golfing, was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. Robert enjoyed watching the Little League World Series and March Madness Basketball Tournaments. He was an umpire for PIAA, coached baseball and played for the Augustine's Pizza softball team but, of all his passions, his family was first. He had the upmost adoration for his grandchildren and loved to make people laugh. In addition to his wife and mother, Robert is survived by his daughter, Alicia Lynch and her fiancé, Nate Lewis, of New Castle; two sons Dale Cartwright and his wife Erin and Shawn Cartwright, both of New Castle; 4 brothers, Charles Cartwright of York Springs, PA, Craig Cartwright of Fair Play, MD, William Cartwright of Westerville, OH, Don Cartwright of New Castle and six grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Madison, Bella, Jax and Kyle. Robert was preceded in passing by his father. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 5-8 pm and Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 10-11 am, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. David Young will officiate.
