Grover W. (Billy) Crider, Jr.

Mr. Grover W. (Billy) Crider, Jr., 73, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at his home. Mr. Crider was born October 28, 1945, son of the late Grover and Dorothy Strosnyder Crider. A resident of the Hogansville area most of his life, he served as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, was a retired carpenter, and was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle of Jesus Christ. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Autrey of Hogansville; sons, David Crider of Camilla, Steven Crider of Dothan, AL; daughter, Angel Crider of Newnan; children of his heart, Dawn Crider and Albert Wright of Hogansville, Cindy Wright of Fayetteville, Jamie Reynolds of Roanoke, AL; brother, Allen Crider; sister, Sheryl Huckeba of Hogansville; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend David Simmons will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Sunday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
