William Hutto Jr.

William E. Hutto died on August 6, 2019. He was 95 years of age. He was born in Bamberg, SC on March 31, 1924 to William E. and Mattie Mae Garrett Hutto and attended loal schools. He worked most of his life as a Linotype Operator in New York City and was a member of Typographical Union No. 6 until his retirement in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and three children, Joyce (Peter) Weinman of Cape Cod, MA, David (Karolyn) of Thiells, and Daniel (Farah) of Australia, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by unofficial adopted daughter Titing Wooten and her husband Dale, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Eloise Herbert, Mary Evelyn Yeatman, and Eugenia (Genie) Bellamy. He was a 65 year member of Pleasantville-Hiawatha Lodge No. 434 until his resignation. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict having served aboard destroyers in both wars.
