Virginia Mae Palazzi, age 88, of Stratford, passed away on August 6, 2019. She was born in Worcester, MA to the late Michael Nunziato and Angelina (Morello) Scola and was one of 8 children. Virginia completed her practical nurse training at Worcester City Hospital and worked in their emergency room. She then worked as a practical nurse at UMASS Medical Center. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church. Virginia remained active in AA throughout her sobriety, and celebrated her 40th anniversary of sobriety on January 19, 2019. She especially loved her children and grandchildren, and her daily walks on Long Beach. Virginia is survived by her children; Francis and his wife, Bonnie, Vincent and his wife, Wendy Lynn, Michael and his wife, Mary, Mary Ann and her wife, Pam, Elizabeth, and Matthew; 11 cherished grandchildren; and her last surviving brother, Dan Scola. Friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford.
