Gladys Daniels
GLADYS VIRGINIA (ST. CLAIR) DANIELS, 95 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at her home with family by her side after an extended illness. Born December 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William Authur and Mary Jane Lester St. Clair and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a loving wife, mother, the secretary/treasurer for Howard L. Daniels Sand Company for over fifty years and a faithful member of the Old Regular Baptist Church for over fifty years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Howard L. Daniels; 3-Brothers: Floyd St. Clair, Elsie St. Clair and Clyde St. Clair; 3-Sisters: Delphia Jewell Thompson, Stella Mae Farmer and Elizabeth Lester. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Anna Lee and Son-in-Law Donald Dawson of Grundy, VA. Also left to carry on her memory are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Funeral Services for GLADYS VIRGINIA (ST. CLAIR) DANIELS will be conducted Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Puckett, Mack Varney and Carson Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. Active Pallbearers will be Clinton Daniels, Justin Daniels, Ricky Fields, Shannon Thompson, Joey St. Clair, Zachery Thompson, Eric Blackburn, Matthew Mullins, Daniel Mullins, and Hank Williamson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Myrtle Daniels, Roger and Geraldine Daniels, Robert Thompson, Michael Daniels, Katy Daniels, Rhonda Anderson, Mary Mullins, Jean St. Clair, Elizabeth Addison, Lou Dell Clevinger, Uley Daniels, Linda Blankenship, Debbie Smith and Joann Craft. Special thanks to Grundy Funeral Home, Buchanan General Hospital, Home Health Care, Special Care Hospice and Home Health and Family Care Center. The Family would also like to thank special care givers: Wanda Rose, Judy Hurley, Maxine Perry, Linda Blankenship, Ronnie and Myrtle Daniels, Roger and Geraldine Daniels, Lou Dell Clevinger and Donald Dawson.
