Delora "Dee" McCabe Obituary

Mrs. Delora “Dee” McCabe, daughter of the late William Festus Wade and Mary Etta Anderson-Wade and Stepmother Nannie Gaskin-Wade, was born November 3, 1924 in Russell County Kentucky. She attended the public schools of Russell County and moved to Cincinnati Ohio during the Second World War. She was united in holy matrimony in 1955 to; James Joseph McCabe. This marriage was blessed with two children, Mr. Richard Wade McCabe of Batavia Ohio and Mrs. Trisha Lynn McCabe-Fountain of Florence Kentucky. Mrs. Delora McCabe was a member of the Clough Pike United Methodist Church in Anderson Township Ohio. She enjoyed raising her family, cooking, quilting and listening to “Marty and Joe” call Reds games over the radio. She always enjoyed making her annual trip to Russell County for the Wade Family Reunion. She was preceded in death by her loving Husband James Joseph McCabe, and her six siblings; Majora Wade-Sands (Twin), Elmo Wade, Ion Wade-Lacy, Eldon Wade, Artis Wade, LaVere Wade-Black. Her wonderful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Richard McCabe and Daughter-in-Law Donna McCabe, Trisha McCabe-Fountain and Son-in-Law Kenneth Fountain. Grand Children; Kristy McCabe-Taylor (Matt Taylor), Jenny McCabe-Stollmaier (Brian Stollmaier) and Great- Grandchildren; Ashley Taylor, Lyndsay Taylor, Evan Stollmaier and Ethan Stollmaier. A celebration of her remarkable life and longevity will occur on Wednesday June12th at 11:00 AM at the Gilligan Funeral Home located at 8225 Montgomery Rd., Kenwood Ohio 45236, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery Ohio.
