Leonard Donald Fletcher, 86, of Eddyville, KY formerly of Madisonville, KY passed away Friday October 19, 2018 at Tennessee State Veteran Home in Clarksville, TN. He was born June 30, 1932 in Christian County, KY to the late Leroy Fletcher and Naomi Hamby Fletcher. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Helen Fletcher, daughter, Karyn Fletcher Tapp; and a sister, Lela Fletcher Tarter. Leonard is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Rita Fletcher of Eddyville, KY; grandchildren; Kimberly (Darin) Collins, Christie (John) Payne, and Christopher (Beth) Nance; great grandchildren, Ethan, Fletcher, Naomi, Cohen, Breindel Collins, and Tristan, Trevor and Preston Payne. Mr. Fletcher loved working on things and enjoyed fishing, hunting. Mr. Fletcher was a US Army Veteran. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 22, 2018 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Embry officiating. Burial will follow in Ilsley Cemetery in Ilsley, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the service time on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Payne, Tristan Payne, Chris Nance, Darin Collins, Ethan Collins and Fletcher Collins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Christian Assembly Building Fund. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
