William "Pat" Lovan

William 'Pat' Lovan, 83, of Madisonville, KY passed away, January 28, 2017 at Hillside Villa in Madisonville. He was born March 27, 1933 to the late Shirley Lovan and Ruby Croft Lovan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lovan in 2014, a brother, Raymond Lovan and a sister, Lucille Lovan. Mr. Lovan was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Madisonville. He was a Deacon and Deacon Emeritus and taught Sunday school for the church. He was a retired barber, he owned and operated Lovan's Barber Shop for many years. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephew, and many distant cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Finley officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery in Morton’s Gap, KY. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
