<p>Delores J. Barnes, 80, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 27, 2019 at UPMC Jameson. </p><p><br></p><p>Born on April 29, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Milton Asbury and Margaret Brooks. </p><p><br></p><p>Delores had been married to Wilbur Barnes, who preceded her in death. </p><p><br></p><p>Delores had worked as a supervisor for Airway Luggage for thirty years. She was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and Daughter of Elks Club. Delores cherished her family and loved spending time with them. </p><p><br></p><p>Delores is survived by her brothers, Irvin Hill, Michael Hill, Dorian Hill, sisters, Edith Sims, Carol Asbury-Williams, Jacqueline Fears, and Sandra Gilmore, her uncle, Charles Brown, goddaughter, Annie Calvetta-White, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Laverne Gilmore. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Ed &amp; Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 South Mill St. </p><p><br></p><p>A Home Going service will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Robert Mills will officiate. </p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be in Parkside Cemetery. </p>

Delores J. Barnes, 80, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 27, 2019 at UPMC Jameson.

Delores had been married to Wilbur Barnes, who preceded her in death.
