Barbara G. Carpenito of Verona, NJ passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on March 1, 2019, at the age of 67. Visiting will be held in Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, NJ on Monday, March 4th from 4-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 5th in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona at 10 AM followed by the interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Barbara was born in Newark, NJ and has resided in Verona for the past 30 years.She worked for over 40 years in the medical field and recently enjoyed her new role as a caretaker. Barbara will be remembered by her family and friends as a woman who was always there to help in times of need. She not only was a devoted mom to her family but also to all who needed her love and guidance. She was a strong and passionate person who was devoted to her family and possessed the ability to give the right advice at the right time. She was the glue that kept her family together and unites them even during this difficult time.She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren whom she adored endlessly. Her greatest joy in life was being “Nanny” and finding a way to spoil them. Barbara was a loyal friend who always had their best interests in mind. As the big sister in the family, she was the confidant, cheerleader and advisor to each, whether they wanted the advice or not! Barbara is the beloved wife of Felice Carpenito; loving mother of Paola Olivo and her husband Tom and Dianna Rotellini and her husband Graziano; dear sister of Robert Leblein, Judith Leblein Josephs and Janet Leblein; cherished grandmother of Sal, Federica and Teddy.
