Freda L. Rodehaver

FREDA L. RODEHAVER, age 86 years of Hudson, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility in Hillsdale. She was born on July 16, 1932, in Pittsford, Michigan, the daughter of Ora Elden and Mary Lou (Routzong) Sanders. Freda graduated from Pittsford High School in the Class of 1950, and the Jackson Business University. She married George F. Rodehaver on May 31, 1951, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1973. Freda worked at Metalloy, Tri-State and Bank Café’all of Hudson and she spent many years as City Clerk for the City of Hudson. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, doing piano lessons and being in the Hudson Cantata. Freda was a former member of the Hudson First United Methodist Church and a State Homemaker Award Winner of Pittsford. Surviving Freda are her three children, Rick (Barb) Rodehaver of S. Fulton, TN, Lori (Mike) Schmitz of Clayton and Chris Rodehaver of Hudson, five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Betty Truman, and her brothers, Ray and Danny Sanders. Funeral Services for Freda will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with Pastor Carol J. Freeland officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019, from 4-7 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
