Beverly Marie Wichtendahl
Beverly Marie Wichtendahl, age 87, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 28, 2019 at Risen Son Nursing Home in Council Bluffs. Beverly was born October 28, 1931 in Bancroft, Iowa to the late Samuel and Edna (Rickert) Shipler. She graduated from Bancroft High School in 1949. Beverly married Harlan G. Wichtendahl on February 19, 1950 in Algona, Iowa. They were blessed with three children, Larry, Al and Kim. Beverly worked as a secretary for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department and then did exterior painting and interior staining for many years. She loved cooking and gardening and was known for her homemade breads. Beverly was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan G. Wichtendahl on April 19, 2012; son-in-law, Roger Goth and brother, Bob Shipler. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Kim Goth of Thornton, Colorado; sons, Larry Wichtendahl of Lincoln, Nebraska, Al (Kathy) Wichtendahl of Spokane, Washington; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.October 28, 1931 - February 28, 201910/28/193102/28/2019
