Martin Bland, age 70, of Webb City, Missouri, formerly of Oronogo, Missouri, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 28, 2019, following a short illness. He was born January 31, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska. Martin worked as an auto body repairman and had his own shop. He also worked for Tri-State Trucking in the auto body repair field. He loved doing auto body repair, making models, fishing, car shows and family gatherings. He married Judy Kidwell on September 6, 1966, in Carthage, Missouri, and she survives. He is also survived by three sons, Kevin Ray Wiles and wife, Shelli, of Carterville, Missouri, Barry Bland and wife, Dottie, of Carthage, Missouri, and Martin Bland, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Duenweg, Missouri; one daughter, Lisa Vantrease and husband, Michael, of Webb City, Missouri; one sister, Anita May Carter; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Haeck officiating. Burial will follow at the Oronogo Cemetery. The visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City, Missouri.
