Alda Falassi
Alda A. Falassi, 89 of Oglesby died at 4:00 a.m. February 11, 2019 in Heritage Health of Peru. A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Church, Oglesby. Rev. Gregory Jarzombek, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, LaSalle. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the church. Shields Funeral Chapel, Oglesby is in charge of arrangements. Alda was born May 5, 1929 in Buenos Aires, Argentina to James and Julia (Johndrone) Usseglio. She married John “Jake” Falassi December 11, 1948 in Sacred Heart Church, Oglesby. He died February 11, 2008. Alda was assistant manager at Woolworth’s. She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by 2 sons; Gary Falassi and William (Nancy) Falassi both of Oglesby, a granddaughter Sue (Troy) Terzick of LaSalle, 3 great-grandsons; Ty, Brock and Jake, a sister Edith (Corrado) Castelli of Oglesby, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Gary August 10, 1952 and a brother.
