Harold Lewis Herbolsheimer

Harold Lewis Herbolsheimer, 96 years of age, passed away on December 11, 2015, in Springfield, Missouri. He was born on March 4, 1919, to Christ and Emma (Buckendahl) Herbolsheimer in Pierce County, Nebraska. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Wanda, on December 27, 1976. Harold was a farmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed antiquing, traveling, going out to eat, and attending shows in Branson. He attended 1st Freewill Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri and was often overheard saying, "Praise the Lord."He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; his children and their spouses: Dianna and Earl, Kenneth and Sharon, Sherry and James, Johnny and Janie, and Della and Scott; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ada Monroe; and several nieces and nephews. Harold is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Chris Herbolsheimer; four brothers, Alfred, Raymond, Arnold, and Art; five sisters: Alta, Hilda, Ethel, Marion, and Barbara. He will be dearly missed especially by his family. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Springfield, Missouri. A funeral service will follow visitation at 9:30 AM with Reverends Dale Kester and Chuck Horton officiating. Harold will be escorted by the Patriot Guard to his final resting place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri, where he will receive full military honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Walnut Lawn Funeral Home, Ltd. DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory, Springfield, Missouri.
