Diane S. Ory
Diane S. Ory, 69 of Northwood, OH died Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born January 3, 1946 to the late Otto and Elizabeth (Taulker) Ory. She was a 1964 graduate of Harris- Elmore High School and the Northwest Ohio Practical Nurse Training Center in Toledo, OH. For 45 years she was a Licensed Practical Nurse with certified in IV's and Medications for Riverside Hospital and St. Anne's Hospital both in Toledo. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore, OH where she was an active member of the Church. She served as an Honor Worker, where she also served as treasurer, sang in the choir, directory committee, Night In Bethlehem, and the Beacon Bunch. She also was a member of the Harris- Elmore Friends of the Library, Riverside Past-timers, and assisted with many blood drives. She chaired the Historical Committee where she also donated to create the Historical Room and did much research for the Pictorial History of St. John's United Church of Christ from 1860 2010. She is survived by her aunt Grace Johnson of Williston, OH and dear friend Elaine "Flo" Florian of Monroe, MI; also many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by an infant sister Carolyn Ory: Aunts: Sylvain Timmons, Aurettha Carey, and Althea Taulker; and uncle Wilson Taulker. Funeral Services will begin at 11am Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Elmore under the direction of the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore- Genoa Chapel, with the Rev. Margaret Mills officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the beginning of the service. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to: St. John's U.C.C., Luther Home of Mercy, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, American Diabetes Association, or a charity of the Donor's Choice.
