Cyril Paul “Cy” Moncman, 89 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at U.P.M.C. Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on June 23, 1927 in Benwood, WV a son of the late Stephan and Mary (Zilka) Moncman. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sons, infant Gregory Moncman and Brian Moncman on April 3, 2013, his three brothers, Charles, Jerome, and Bernard Moncman, and one sister Cecilia Petros. He graduated from Union High School. He went on to serve his country in the Air Force during World War II and when he returned from the war he received his bachelor’s degree in Business from the College of Steubenville. He later retired from St. Johns Medical Center where he served as Senior Vice President of Fiscal Services. He was a life time fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Cy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and enjoyed his visits to Wheeling Downs. Cyril is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia (Pyle) Moncman at home; five children, Paul (Mary Ann) Moncman, Chester, VA, Jeffrey (Jenny) Moncman, Parkersburg, WV, Mark (Sandra) Moncman, Houston, TX, Kevin Moncman, Monongahela, PA, and Patrice Wray, Healdsburg, CA; six grandchildren, Adam, Jared, Jonathan, Jeffrey Moncman, II, Jason, and Joshua Moncman; five great grandchildren, Ashton, Kinsley, Lydia, Austin, and Nathan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 1-6 P.M. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV where funeral liturgy of the Word will be held on Monday, March 6th at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Fr. Dan Pisano officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
