Ola Mae Johnson

Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson, age 69, of Hays, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home. She was born April 11, 1946 in Wilkes County to Thurmond and Rose Anna Cockerham Bowlin. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Mtn. Valley Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Aramark Food Service; also in the cafeteria at Lowe’s Companies and Tyson Foods where she made many friends. She was a giving and caring person. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Noah Johnson; grandson, Noah Johnson and granddaughter, Jessica Johnson. Surviving are her mother, Rose Anna Cockerham Bowlin of Millers Creek; daughter, Tina Johnson of Hays; son, Scott Johnson of Hays; brother, Albert Bowlin of Wilkesboro; sister, Lorena Sebastian of Millers Creek; granddaughter, Ashley Rhodes of Hays; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 o’clock Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willie Kanupp officiating. Burial will follow in Mtn. Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 10:00 until 11:00 o’clock on Saturday, prior to the service.
