Ruth Ann Deitch

Ruth Ann Deitch (nee Kettlewood), age 81, a lifelong resident of Wayne, PA, passed away on January 9, 2019. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Euna Kettlewood (nee Ross). Ruth was employed as a school bus driver for the Radnor School District. She enjoyed her long tenure transporting many children (and many of their parents before them) safely to and from school for over 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her summers in Ocean City, NJ. She enjoyed crafting, painting and making people laugh. She had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling the country with friends and family and her beloved husband, Ken, in their travel trailer. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ken and her son, James Deitch. She is survived by her loving children Charles H. “Chuck” Deitch (Julia), Kenneth A. Deitch, III (Francine), and Karen Shimer (Steve), her daughter-in-law Mayumi Sugaya, her grandchildren Cheryl Deitch, Heather Gaughan (Christopher), Stacey Hooks (James), Tara Shimer, Erika Shimer and Jack Shimer, her great-grandchildren Brayden, Conner and Alaina and her sister Elizabeth Quigley. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 10:00-11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA (610) 989-9600 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth’s memory to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002 would be appreciated.
