Ethel Huff Kapp Armstrong, age 97, passed away on January 3, 2019. Mrs. Armstrong was born in Winston-Salem and was the daughter of the late Jamie Lynn and Bertha Vey Huff Kapp. She was a life long member of Calvary Moravian Church and a seventh generation Moravian tracing her heritage to the original settlers of the Bethabara Community. She was the wife of the late CWO Eugene G. Armstrong, US Army, and spent her married years at multiple military postings in the United States, France and Germany. Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her daughter, Patricia Armstrong Johnson and husband, Don of Cornelius, NC; and her son, Eugene G. Armstrong, Jr. of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Calvary Moravian Church on Sunday, January 6th at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial in God's Acre in Old Salem. The family will receive friends following the burial at the Henry F. Shaffner House, 150 S. Marshall St., Winston-Salem, NC.
